Admissions

How to apply for a place at Palm Tree, and where to find our information pack and application form.

Who can join

Palm Tree is a nursery for children aged 2 to 4. Places may be limited, so if you are thinking of applying, it helps to get in touch early and, ideally, to visit first.

Download the information pack and application form, complete it and return it to the nursery before the end of term.

  3. Documents

When you apply we will tell you which documents we need to see.

  4. Settle in

A member of staff goes through the All About My Unique Child booklet with you, and we help your child settle in.

Sessions, funding and fees

Please check these details with the nursery.

Session times

Open Monday to Friday during term time.

  • Morning session: 8:30am to 11:30am
  • Afternoon session: 12:15pm to 3:15pm
Funding

Palm Tree provides funded early education places for eligible 2-, 3- and 4-year-olds.

Eligible children can access 15 or 30 funded hours, depending on eligibility. Funded hours are free of charge, and you never have to buy extra hours, goods or services to get your child's funded entitlement.

Funded hours are offered according to our available sessions and the requirements of the funded early education entitlement. We will tell you which sessions are available when you arrange your child's place.

Fees
  • Extra private hours outside your child's funded entitlement are optional and cost £8.00 per hour. You do not need to buy them to get funded hours.
  • Nappies and personal care: parents provide their child's nappies and any personal care items, so there is no charge for these.
  • Food: the nursery does not provide food, snacks or lunch, so there is no food charge. Please send your child's snack, and lunch if they need it.
  • Optional activities: if we offer an optional paid activity, we will tell you the cost and any alternative in advance. You never have to buy one to use your funded hours.
  • Invoices and receipts show funded hours, additional private hours at £8.00 per hour, and any other additional charges separately.
